Examine the beds of Hautbois France
berries to see that there be a proper
number of male plants; they are easily
known from the female. The male hath
twenty of more stamina adjoining to
the bottom — of the petals which are al
most a quarter of an inch long; the
stamina of the female flower are scarce
ly visible. Put down a stick to each
male that you may know in autumn —
where to fund runners when you make
a fresh plantation plant on each bed
three rows the two outermost rows are
female let the middle row be planted
in quinceway with one of each.
