later & it was moved & seconded that her resignation be accepted.
Unfinished business before the Club consisted of the report of Mrs. White, Chairman of the Program Committee, which was accepted.
It was decided to elect new members at this meeting to fill the vacancies caused by the resignation of three members, & after being moved & seconded, five names were proposed.
After the ballot was cast it was found that only two members were elected at this time. Mrs. W. C. Beavans & Mrs. J. W. Harris, & the Secretary was instructed to notify these new members of their election.
Two additional associate members were elected by acclaimation, this action being duly moved & seconded, & Mrs. S. L. Alderman & Miss

Virginia Ragsdale were elected
The Treasurer made a report of all disbursements with a balance of $49.54 on hand and this report was accepted
The program for the morning on the subject of "Planning the Garden" had Mrs McEwen as leader & she read a very interesting paper on the subject
A short talk by Mrs F. R. Taylor on "Uniting the House & Garden" one by Mrs J W Moore on "Privacy in the Garden" & one by Mrs A E Tate on "The [minimum?] care of a Garden" concluded the program for the morning
As there was no further business the meeting adjourned to meet with Mrs E T Harmon Oct 25.

& discussion at the next meeting which is to be in the nature of a consultation with Mr Tillson + Mrs Elwood Cox gave us a most interesting & instructive talk foundd on her wide experience in the planting of fall bulbs & seeds The meeting then adjourned to meet November eigth with Mrs J E Kirkman
