This Deed Made this the 9th day of July 1936
by Florence Welch Harriss
of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part,
to Elizabeth H. Covington and J. Welch Harriss of Guilford County and
State of North Carolina, party of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of
($10.00) Ten Dollars and other valuable consideration to
[blank] paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has/have bargained and sold,
and by these presents do [blank] bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and their heirs a tract
or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the
lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows:

Being lots #1 and 2 and the Northern half of lot #3 as shown on map
of property belonging to J. W. Harris and T. A. Kearns
recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Guil-
ford County in Plat Book #4 Page #175.

Beginning at a stake in Willowbrook Street at the North corner of lot
#1 and running South 100 feet along Willowbrook Street to a stake in
corner of W. T. Pearce's lot, being cent of lot #3; then East to the
East line in lot #3 as shown on map; thence North 60.75 feet to a
stake; thence East 28.75 feet North 77° East to a stake; thence North
74 feet North 15° 30' West to a stake; thence West 228.50 feet South
72° 15' West to the beginning, containing 24,591 square feet.

(One-half undivided interest to Mrs. Elizabeth H. Covington and one-
half undivided interest to J. Welch Harriss tenants, in
common.)

The above land was conveyed to grantor by [blank]. See Book No. [blank] Page [blank], etc.
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said
party of the second part and their heirs and assigns forever.
And the said party of the first part does covenant that she is seized of said premises in fee and
will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth
state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that
she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.
