The High Point Garden Club met with Mrs. L.D. Diffre Jan. 27, 1931. The meeting was called to order by the Pres. Mrs. Henry White. Twenty members answered to roll call. Minutes were read and approved.
Mrs. S.H. Tomlinson gave an interesting report on plans for the publication of Dr. Wells book on native wild flowers. The cost is more than first expected-about $2,000. This may be
met by selling advance copies. The members of the state executive board are most enthusiastic and this publication is the advance project of the club. The committee hopes to have Dr. Wells on the program in May when the state meeting is held at Wilmington. Definite plans will be made at this time for the publication.
No names were presented to fill vacancy in club. Mrs. White asked that names be presented at the next meeting.
A letter from Mr. S. L. Alderman was read, she asked for a year's leave of absence. The sec. was asked to write
