#1 December 8th 1931

The High Point Garden Club met on December 8th at the home of Mrs S H Tomlinson at 10 oclock A.M. with the President Mrs White Presiding -
The meeting opened with the Roll Call to which 19 members responded. The Sec. read the minutes of the November meeting and these were approved.
The Pres. read a letter from Mrs [?] [?] of committee on conservation, regarding the preservation of Christmas greens.
Mrs S H Tomlinson suggested that easch member present pledge her cooperation and buy only from farmers.
The members agreed to do this and the letter was placed on file.
The Sec read a letter from Robt. Pyle to Mrs F R Taylor regarding a lecture on Roses.
The Pres. asked the corresponding Sec to communicate with Greensboro Council also the High Point Council with the view of uniting in this project.
Mrs A E Tate asked to take the letter to the Tuesday Evening Garden Club.
The Pres. recommened the Christmas number of the "Garden Club Exchange as being full of lively
