Dear Hazel:

I had a letter from Marjorie telling me of your husband's death.

My, I hardly know what to say, its such a shock. Jimmy and I both send our deepest sympathy to you and the children.

Its wonderful that you have Marjorie, who is so near

you, she will be a great help and comfort to you. She tells me that you may go to Greensboro to live.

I wish I could be of some help to you, or to be near you in your sorrow. At such a time our friends are such a comfort to us. Be brave, you have your children to live for, and what a blessing they are.

Again accept Jimmy's and my sincerest sympathy.
