Dear Eva;
I haven't heard from you since my last letter but thought I would drop you a note. I have been told by the Lieutenant that I am first on the list for furloughs so I should get one April the First. Hope you have gotten the money back by now, if you have I would like to borrow it to come home on.
I have been working pretty hard the last few weeks, I went up for sgt. last week, there was four of us took the exam. Three of us passed it now we have to go up in front of the promotion board. Well Eva guess I had better close as we will have to fall out soon. If you can send the money by April the first Love Jewell
