Dear Eva,

Well Eva, I guss you have been wondering why I haven't written. In the last few weeks I haven't had a chance to write. Today I sent some things off in the mail you will probably get them by the time you receive this letter. I sent you my green blouse and cap, also a book about the division and my insurance receipt. When I get paid I am going to send you the money I said I was going to, take out what I owe you including what you have paid out for my insurance and put the rest in the bank and if you ever need any money don't hesitate to use it. I am making out an allotment to you, you may not get it for a month or so but after the first one arrives you will get the others regularly. When I go overseas don't worry about me if you don't hear from me too often as you know how slow mail is

about coming from the pacific, maybe it will be faster now, I hope so. Anyway there will be times when I won't get a chance to write. Don't wait until you get a letter from me to write.

Eva in case I should happen to get killed I made out my beneficiary slip in your name. You will get everything that is coming as I made it out that way then you can divide it up with the others. Of course I don't plan on anything like that happening but its just in case. I don't know when we are leaving but it's a cinch we stay here forever, so any letter may or may not be the last one from the states. Well I guess I had better close this as I want to write Henry and Faison.

Love Jewell

P.S. I can't remember Velmas address. I know it is the Cox apartments but I don't remember the number, send it in your next letter.
