High Point, N.C. Monday Mar. 5th

Dearest Pete: Well, it's raining here again this Monday morning so I thought I would drop you a line for most of the times I write you it is raining. We went to see Henry & Lib Saturday night and had a flat tire Sunday morning so guess we must have picked up a nail on the way back from Greensboro. Henry is wearing glasses now. They really got some very nice things when they were married and now they have a chance to use them. Lib is working in the office of the Burlington Mills. Pete, I haven't sent your fruit cake yet. I have it here but seems I just can't ever get to the Post-office but one of these days may be we will all be well again (over)

I know them both real well and Walt Spencer used to work at Merita Bakery. Arthur Metcalfe was a Fireman before he
