This Deed Made this the 7th day of March 1936 by Edgar Howard Snider (single) of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part, to Alberta C. Snider of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the second part:
Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of ($10.00) Ten Dollars and other valuable considerations to him paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold, and by these presents does bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and her heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake on the South side of Arbordale Avenue, the same being the Northeast corner of Lot #17, and running thence in an Easterly direction along the South side of Arbordale Avenue 60 ft. to a stake, the Northwest corner of Lot #15; thence South 33 deg. 34 min. West along the line of Lot #15 290 ft. to a stake, the Southwest corner of Lot #15; thence North 41 deg. 06 min. West 60 ft. to a stake, the Southeast corner of Lot #17; thence along the line of Lot #17 North 33 deg. 02 min. East 274.2 ft. to the point of Beginning, the same being Lot #16 of the property of Mrs. Joseph Snider, known as Emerywood West, map or plat of which is duly recorded in Plat Book [blank], at page [blank], in the office of the Register of Deeds of Guilford County, North Caroluna.
The above land conveyed to grantor by [blank]. See Book No. [blank], Page [blank], etc. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and her heirs anad assigns forever
And the said party of the first part does covenant that he is seized of said premises in fee and has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that he will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA--GUILFORD COUNTY I, [blank] of said County, do hereby certify that [blank] and his wife [blank] grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledge the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said [blank] being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.
