Burkeville, Va., June 15, 1924.

power. You remind me so much of Mother. I'll never go through anything again in my life without thinking about you. All the folks said so many nice things the last day I was there, – I wish I could talk to you and tell you all about it.

Mother took Dot to Richmond yesterday and had her tonsils taken out so I am keeping house. She will stay in the Sanatorium until to-morrow afternoon. We called last night and she was getting along nicely.

Frances and myself are taking week about cooking and cleaning up. This is my week to cook and I like that much better than cleaning. We hem stitch and initial sheets etc. in between times so we keep right busy.

I went to Richmond to Commencement as I had charge of two events and got back Thursday! There were over 300 alumni back and we had a great time seeing old friends.

I canned some cherries and made some cherry preserves Saturday. 'Twas the first time I had ever put up any cherries.

A letter from Dorothy Gardyne is all the High Point news I've had.

Please give my love to the family. Aunt El sends love and says she is going to write to you to-morrow.

Lovingly, Louise.
