June 18, 1924.

Dear Hazel;– I received Marion's letter yesterday and was terribly shocked to hear about Billy. I read the letter over and over trying to make myself believe I was mistaken. You have my very deepest sympathy and I only wish that I might be of some use to you at this time.

Marion's letter was most interesting, she told me so much about you all. I really am going to turn over a new leaf and at least do my part in keeping

in touch with my old friends.

When I first came back from overseas, I was in a rather hectic state of mind and it took me almost a year to get back into the old ruts again, and in that way I lost touch with so many of you. How is Marjorie and all her family? Marion said that Faye has been with you for some time. Please remember me to both Faye and Marjorie won't you. Where are Grace and May non? Of course Vorhees is a young man now, that certainly does make me feel like an old lady, and Elizabeth in high school. Really the way everyone's children are growing up is absolutely appalling.

Please write to me Hazel and tell me all about yourself & your family. Thank Marion for my nice letter won't you? Loads of love and sympathy to you all.

Yours as ever Marion
