Dear Hazel and Faye
I am putting you together because I know that Faye loves you all so dearly that your joys and sorrows are hers.
A letter from Alice just received tells me of the terrible sorrow which has come to you.
There is so little once can say at such a time unless one has actually been through the same experience.
And so I can only send you my loving sympathy and pray that you may be given strength from above to bear this sad blow and to "carry on" for the

sake of your little family.
Of course we know nothing of the particulars but I fear it was all very unexpected which makes the shock doubly hard.
It is so hard to part with our loved ones but if it is all very gradual, as in the case of old people, our hearts seem to get ready for the blow.
May God bless and comfort you all.
Most lovingly Yours Mabel
