This Deed, Made this the 26th. day of Feb. 1920, by A. L.
Burns and his wife Mamie E. Burns formerly of Guilford County
and State of North Carolina, but now residing in Forsyth Coun-
ty and State of North Carolina, parties of the first part, to
CARRIE L. WELCH
of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the
second part:

WITNESSETH: That the said parties of the first part, in
consideration of ($10.00) Ten Dollars and other good and valu-
able considerations to them paid by the said party of the second
part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained
and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto
the said party of the second part and her heirs a tract or parcel
of land in the county of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in
High Point township, adjoining the lands of E. D. Steele, G. F.
Morrison, and others, and described and bounded as follows:

BEGINNING at a stake or stone on the east side of Jordon
street in the City of High Point, the north west corner of
the lot of land conveyed by A. L. Burns et. al. to E. D. Steele
by Deed recorded in Book 142 page 228 in the Register of Deeds
Office of Guilford County; thence eastwardly with Steele's
line, Two Hundred (200) feet, more or less, to Steele's north
east corner; thence northwardly Ninety (90) feet, more or less,
to J. H. Burns corner; [thence] westwardly with Burns line Two
Hundred (200) feet, more or less, to Jordon street; thence south
wardly with Jordon street Ninety (90) feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning, being the property known as the "HOME
PLACE" of A. L. Burns and Wife in High Point, North Carolina.

TO have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and
all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to her the
said party of the second part and her heirs and assigns forever.

And the said parties of the first part do covenant that they
are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey
the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances;
and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same
against the claims of all persons whatsoever.
