State of North Carolina Guilford County March 10 1879

This Contract Entered into this day between Henry Clapp of the State and County aforesaid of the first part and Manliff Jarrell of the County and State aforesaid of the second part.

Witnesseth The said party of the first part has bargained and sold to the party of the second part the lot with the buildings thereon that he now occupies for The sum of Eight Hundred dollars and binds himself his heirs and Administrators in the sum of one Thousand dollars lawful money of The United States to execute to the party of the second part a good and warranted deed to the property aforesaid when the said party of the second part shall Comply with the following obligations The party of the second part obligates to deliver from Three to five Hundred Cords of wood to O. S. Causey at High Point or on the Rail Road as the said Causey may Elect to be taken off my tract of Land

in Randolph County N. C. If delivered in High Point he is to receive seventy cents per cord. If on the R.R. fifty cents per cord to be delivered during the summer also to furnish lumber to build a House 28 by 34 feet 10 foot story dressed Lumber to be furnished at the place of building at one dollar and twenty five cents per Hundred feet board measure undressed lumber at one dollar per Hundred feet also to furnish putty glass and nails at the lowest cash price to complete the said Building. The above to be received in part payment for the above tract of land and the remainder to be paid in money and the party of the second part binds himself his heirs and administrators in the sum of one Thousand dollars lawful money of the United States to perform the above obligations in good faith and in the spirit and meaning of the same.
