This Deed Made this 8th day of August 1924 by D. V. Hoskins and his wife Hattie S. Hoskins of Guilford county and State of North Carolina, parties of the first part, to Henry D. Perry of Guilford County and Sate of North Carolina, party of the second part:

Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of [$10.00] Ten dollars and other good and valuable considerations Dollars to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell, and convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of ___ and others, and bounded as follows: Being known, numbered and designed as Lot. No. 1 in Block No. 1 as shown on the plat of "Five Points" subdivision of the High Point Ins & Real Estate Co's lands, which said plat is duly registered in the office of the Register of Deeds for Guilford County N.C. in Plat Book No. 5 Page 252, to which registered plat reference is hereby made. This lot Fronts the Greenboro*High Point Road 25.3 feet is 25-feet in rear and 115 feet on East Line and 113-feet on West Line.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by High Point Ins. & Real Estate Co. See Book No. 408, Page 363, etc.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges or appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said parties of the first part do [blank] covenant that they is are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

I E.J. Edwards Notary Public of said County, do hereby certify that D.V. Hoskins and his wife Hattie S. Hoskins grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowleged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said Hattie S. Hoskins being by me privately examined, seperate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered. Witness my hand and official seal this the 9 day of August 1924 My com expires July 1, 1924 E.J. Edwards J.P. [Seal.] STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - Guilford County. I, of said County, do hereby certify that grantor, personally appeared before me this day and acknowleged the execution of the foregoing deed.
