On the evening of September
28, 1837 the first meeting of the
Elm Street Parent-Teachers
Association for 1937-38 school
year was held in the Auditorium
of the Elm Street School. After
the devotional which consisted
of songs by the Glee Club,
the president, Mrs. H. P. Morrison,
extended a welcome to all
parents, teachers new and old,
and visitors. She then outlined
the objectives of the Parent-
Teacher Association. Following
the reading of the minutes
of the last meeting, the presi-
dent asks for reports from
