Aunt Cordelia -
We sent you, by freight, today a box containing a can of syrup, a few hickory nuts, and some sugar, the small cakes of sugar are for the little boys, we put in a very few Beach nuts thought perhaps they would like them.
Babe received a pretty Easter card for which she sends thanks. she could hardly wait for me to open it, she would eat warm sugar all the time if we would let her but we are afraid it will make her sick, and do not like to have her for fear of convulsions.

We have not been down to Aunt Cirlissia's since Christmas but Uncle Hiram was up several weeks ago, he said they had been having hard colds, he was better, but Aunt Cirlee coughed very hard yet. Our folks have had colds this winter but hey seem to be fashionable in this part of Ohio.
Mother is making you a Head rest which we will send you by mail. it is not quite done yet or we would have sent it with the syrup.
Bert and his wife are at home for a short time. They expect to make their home in Cherry Valley for the next year. He is to work for Jay Hatch, in the store there. it seems safer than than crawling around on the top of a freight car. We shall not worry about him so much any way.
