I Certify on honor that I was Commissioned first Lieut from Second Lieut May 25th.. 1862 accepted Commission and entered on duty under Commission Vice R F. Gulick first Lieut resigned His resignation being accepted and he relieved from duty on the 23rd.. day of May 1862

The following notice of overpayment has heretofore been erroneously addressed as against Lt Coleman of Co. C. 65th Ind and has been twice presented to him without being collected. I have just found the original Memorandum and the over payment was made to Charles C. Burnett 2d Lt of same Company. Lt Burnett's account as sent to Washington was corrected and I therefore request you to collect the amount overpaid as shown by the following

He joined for service Aug 1st 1862

Paid by Maj Cumback to Sept 1st as 1st Sergt. Entered on duty as 2d Lt. Sept 29 via Coleman promoted He has clothing allowance due from Aug 1st to Sept 29 He is Chargeable with $ 15.78 clothing drawn

This is coped from his muster for pay to Dec 31 See over
