Additionally, I have an image of William in his WWI Uniform and his helmet bearing the insignia of the 9th Corps. For certain all of the units mentioned on William's service card are Army Units. There exists in the Library system a year book of one of the engineer units William served in. All of t he officers and NCOs have images in this book, but not the lower enlisted. William left the Military as a Private First Class. So no image in the service book.
I'm not certain of William's Date of Birth, but it was approximately April 1897. This means he would have been 31 or 32 at the time of his death.
