Dear Professor Dowden
I am sending off today the following Anniversaries [Durie?] MS [Inflictions?] Divinity, Inflictions & Paradoxes IVA. 1651-2 Poems 1669
I am keeping for a short time longer the Parodoxes 1633, as I wish to make a

complete copy of them.
I hope you have got 'D[urie]'. Some slips & misprints in Vol. II have greatly distressed me. The Commentary was put into shape under great pres-ure this last year & was added to his proof till the last. Most of them will be obvious, as D[urie]
says, to 'the Eye of any deliberate Reader'.
Thanking you again for all the kind help you have given me
I am Yours very Sincerely
H. J. C. Grierson
P.S. I shall ask the Librarian to write to you about the Forbes MS. I

am very sorry you have not been able to find a copy of the poems. One or two of yours I know from an old anthology. I shall keep an outlook for them at sales. But Mrs Dowden's were not, I think, published in her name.
