Let us inquire what this science or cluster of sciences
called Cenoscopy has to do. There are several ways of
investigating this question that lead to one result. I will
take the simplest of these. This consists in finding out
what such a study as Cenoscopy can discover, and
then setting down the whole of that and nothing more as
Cenoscopy's task.
