Thank you for your interest in the Horner pages. Dr. Horner made a sketch of the lynched body of Arthur Jordan and also wrote these pages. I included the sketch in my book but little from the diary, other than to say that he was told about the lynching at breakfast and ran to the cemetery. I was able to decipher that from the entry begining Jan. 19. (The number 19 is in the left margin.)
The combination of poor handwriting and bleed-through has made it almost impossible to read the diary. I will share your work with the U.Va. library where the Horner papers are housed.
