Dear Sister
(This must be Fond du Lac Summer 1870)

I was in such a hurry yesterday that
I did not know what I wanted.
Dont be lonely in Marytown. I will see you
often after we get in Fond du Lac.
I was thinking about giving you sister
Josephine and Louisa after retreat for
the Jumas school. Sister Josephine
is in truth a true sister you will have
some consolation and Louisa I dont
know but I think she is good too.
So have patient yet in Marytown.
I pitty you but better times will come
it wont be long after we get going
here once and I can get some one to
take your place you may come here
too if you wish for needlework and
what ever we can do. I dont feel
like going down to Barton. I think
best if you go down come through here
and take Lidwina and Gertrude along
for it will cost to much money if you
come bring those $100 along
