They will never go hungry. I just weight 150 lbs. now. Soon will be ready to butcher. I don't care how much I weaight as long as I feel good. How are the boys + what are they doing? I sure wish I could see them. Well I guess I had better get to work because I have to go to town this afternoon for the laundry shos + dry cleaning. Write often.

Greetings from the Sunny South

Saturday Dear Kids -

Received your letter yesterday with the cartoons. The kids get a big kick out of them. Things like that always go the rounds. Am sending you a sample of poems. I think they are cute. I just have two cards now. I think I have thrown all the others away. I had one from North Africa + also one from England. But Can't seem to find them this a.m. The next letter I get from them I'll send save and send to you (over)

I'll never get into trouble getting things for G. W. I get them at classification warehouses. I'll see what I can do about shirts. What size does he wear? Sunday night will be the formal opening of our day room. Thursday is Thanksgiving and we have invited all 200 soldiers that are living in the city to come over + have dinner. I don't know what we will do Xmas. I am invited over to Q.M. (Quartermaster) Co. to eat Dinner Thanksgiving + Xmas. So it looks as if I'll get plenty to eat. That is sure one thing I can say. We always have plenty to eat. This morning we had toast, eggs, grapefruit, breakfast food. coffee. jelly for breakfast. Heaving fried chicken for dinner because I know for I have already been over to the mess hall for a chicken leg. If a person stays on the good side of the cooks
