Hunter Field Ga. Tuesday Dear Kids

Received box of candy + also letters with pictures. Thanks a lot. Candy was good and the pictures were awfully cute. I got the letters just as I started to town Saturday. I was going after shoes that had been repaired. I stuck the letter in the folder where I have the shoe repair list + when I got back to the base I didn't have it. I throwed a fit + in just a few minutes the fellow in the shoe shop called up + said they had it. Send me two of one kind next time as I can send Louise one. I sure would like to see them + have a romp with them. Jerry looks as if he is just about as much as Jimmy could handle.

You asked wha I wanted for Xmas. There isn't very much I need or haven't got. I have plenty of everything to eat. You would never know we were in war by the way we are fed. Plenty of milk, butter. In fact every thing. About all a person could send me is underwear + cosmetics. Stationery + handkerchiefs. I do wear civilian underwear. Don't send anything to eat for we have so much more of everything than you do. How is G.W? Does he like it out there? I had a letter from Peggy + Mildred + they are not going to K.C. Mildred sure was glad. She didn't want to go.

I have had my breakfast. Eggs, hot biscuits, breakfast food, apples, jelly, butter, milk + coffee. So better get dressed + report. Write often Love - Mother -
