Mr. Jon Nelson, Camput Pastor Lutheran Student Foundation Lutheran Center 532 University Avenue Missoula, Montana 59801

Dear Mr. Nelson:

Please let this letter serve as confirmation of my acceptance of your invitation to appear on the University camput on October 18 and 19, 1968. The topic you have mentioned, "World Conflict and the Black Revolution," is suitable. I am enclosing a biographical sketch as you have requested.

Does it really take as long as you havce indicated to get from Atlanta to Missoula? I hope you can make the reservations and buy the plane ticket there and send it to me.

I would like very much to share a meal with your family. It would be a great pleasure for me. I do not believe we have discussed accommodations. Does your scheduling suggest that I would be spending two nights in Missoula? Would I be arriving on the night of the 17th, speak on the 18th and 19th and leave on the evening of the 19th?

Of course, we have plenty of time to work out these details before October. I shall be looking forward to hearing from you further.

Sincerely, Julian Bond

P.S If you make the travel arrangements, I should like to avoid Eastern Airlines. Their record for inefficiency and lateness cannot be matched in the airline industry.
