Mr. Julian Bond The House of Representatives 823 Drummond Street, S.W. Atlanta, Georgia 30314

Dear Mr Bond:

On October 27, Dick Gregory will be headlining the Liberal Forum series for 1968-69. As you may remember, last year we corresponded with you in an attempt to schedule you in our series. Since Mr. Gregory may still be in prison by October 27, we wondered if you would accept our invitation to be on this program, appear with Mr. Gregory if he is able to speak or be the featured speaker if he is unable to appear.

We would like to offer you a modest honorarium of $300.00 plus expenses. I can assure you of an audience of 1500 people with wide press coverage consisting of college students, faculty members and a cross section of our St. Louis community. Could you please respond as soon as possible? Our sincere best wishes.

Sincerely,

[signed]

Myron Berezin Liberal Forum Supervisor
