Dear Mr. Bond:

We met in Great Neck, Long Island over a year ago when you addressed a meeting there together with Sergeant Duncan and later attended a home fund party. I invite you to address our Great Neck Forum on a Friday evening in October or November. We could pay an honorarium of $500 and travel expenses, and you would have a keenly interested audience of at least 500 people.

Last year our Forum season was opened by the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other speakers have included Dr. Benjamin Spock, Leonard Boudin, James Farmer, Senator Wayne Morse.

Our preferred dates would be October 18th or 25th. If that is impossible, November 1st or 8th might be arranged.

I shall be most grateful if you would phone or wire me collect on receipt of this letter.
