Dear Mr. Bond:
College Association of Public Events and Services is a non-profit cultural organization affiliated with One Hundred and Five member colleges throughout the State of California. Washington, Oregon and Arizona. Member colleges schedule their programs through this office.
If you would set aside seven days during the academic year (September 1969 through May 1970), we would be honored to present you to member colleges. If you are agreeable, this office would attempt to set up a schedule for you to speak at different college each day for seven days.
The proposed honorarium is Three Hundred, Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per day - seven days - (Two Thousand, Four Hundred, Fifty Dollars). We do not take a percentage of honorarium, therefore, the above stated amount represents full payment to you and you defray all expenses.
During the past years our members have been privileged to present on their campuses: Julian Huxley, Sir Alec Douglas-Home, Gore Vidal, Pearl Buck, Bruno Bettleheim, Sir Bernard Lovell, Martin Luther King, Buckminister Fuller, Margaret Mead, Ferenc Nagy, L.S.B. Leakey, Francois Mitterand and many other men and women who have made a substantial contribution to our culture. We would be pleased to add your name to our list.
