PUBLIC AFFAIRS LECTURE BUREAU 70 Fifth Avenue, New York, N. Y. 10011 (212) 255-5680-1

DIRECTOR, ANN WEINREB

August 30, 1968

Mr. Julian Bond 162 Euharlee Street SW Atlanta, Georgia

Dear Mr. Bond:

In the course of our program planning with the universities and civic organizations we serve, this Bureau is frequently called upon to give information regarding the availability of outstanding public figures. It would be of great help to us and to the institutions we serve, therefore, if you would let us know whether you accept lecture engagements.

If so, this Bureau would be very interested in representing you for public lectures, and I would appreciate having the opportunity to discuss with you the possibility of arranging lecture tours for you.

The purpose of this Bureau is primarily educational and directed toward issue-centered program development. To give you some idea of our operation, I enclose a copy of our last annual announcement.

If you are willing to discuss further the possibility of lecture engagements, I would appreciate your calling me collect at the above telephone number, at your earliest convenience. If further conversation thereafter seems advisable, I would be pleased to meet you in Atlanta at your convenience.

I hope we may have the pleasure of hearing from you soon.

Sincerely, [signed] Ann Weinreb ann weinreb director
