from Dr. H. M. Bond
October 2, 1968

Idea for Book
Title: Julian Bond and his Family

Contents:

Section 1: rewritten autobiography of Julian's grandfather, James Bond (now in manuscript, app. 128 typed pages doublespaceed) the manuscript included an account of James Bond's slave mother, Jane Bond, and of his family origins.

Section 2: Autobiography of Julian's father (now in process; could be prepared for this proposed book in any length).

Section 3: Autobiography of Julian Bond

Section 4: A general account of the extended family: uncles, cousins, etc.
(Recent developments make this interesting. ********
Of course, H. M. B. could do, later the full length autobiography he is now writing.

THIS MANUSCRIPT COULD BE PREPARED IN NO MORE THAN 4 MONTHS.
