Dear Mr. Bond:

On February 20, 1969 our church is having its annual Brotherhood Banquet at the Conrad Hilton Hotel here. Our committee has asked me to invite you to be the speaker for this occasion. The proceeds from this affair will be used to further our drive for a Youth Building in the Morgan Park Community. no trips during that time [written in red ink and circle on right side of page]

I look forward to an early reply concerning your availability. If it is possible for you to share with us on this occasion we would like to have information concerning your fee and arrangements that would meet your satisfaction.

You may be expecting to be contacted this week by one of your close friends Mrs. Anita Young Boswell who is well aware of the importance of the event.

We certainly hope that you will find it possible to be with us on February 20th.

Sincerely yours, [signed] George Ransom Reid George Ransom Reid The Shepherd.
