TWENTIETH CENTURY-FOX TELEVISION, INC. 444 WEST 56TH STREET, NEW YORK 19, NEW YORK TELEPHONE 957-5178 CABLE ADDRESS, CENTFOX NEWYORK

September 30, 1968

Mr. Julian Bond Representative, District 111 162 Euharlee Street, S.W. Atlanta, Georgia

Dear Mr. Bond:

I'm most surprised that the intent of my letter to you (copy enclosed) was misconstrued, in that I was interested in a position on your staff. My duties as Head of East Coast Production for Twentieth Century-Fox obviously preclude that interest.

My interest was and is specifically to offer my services gratis to aid you in the movement that you are so vitally committed to and associated with. Thus, I would look forward to meeting with you when you are in this area.

With best wishes, I am,

Sincerely, [signed] Robert D. Kline Robert D. Kline

RDK/as Enc.

[Bond's draft response]: Sorry, thanks
