Mrs. Anita Young Boswell 5217 B University Avenue Chicago, Illinois 60615

Dear Julian:

This is a belated note. Nevertheless it is a very heartfelt, proud and sincere one. I was extremely proud of you and your performance during the Democratic Convention. I have very closely watched the development of your career and have worked very closely with your counter-part in our local civil rights groups.

My secon reason for writing to you at this time is to encourage, if at all possible for you to accept a recent invitation you received from Arnett Chapel A.M.E. Church to be the guest speaker at their Brotherhood Banquet at the Hilton on the 21st of February. [the date of 21st of February is circled and connected to a circle with the text "Can't do it"]

I feel that this is a very important black community that needs the image of a young black successful pioneer such as you. A part of this Morgan Parlk community is made up of older black people while another section is very new and made up of many young couples and single people.

Politically I feel that it is a very neglected one and therefore we have not seen the results at the polls that will be meaningful to them and all black people in Chicago. This community is also close to other large black communities such as Markham, Robbins and Dixmoore.

If you have further questions please feel free to call me collet at NO. 7-7625 area code 312. I am sure Rev. Reid is very anxious to hear from you as they want to start the wheels rolling as soon as possible. Just in case you need me at any time call me.

Sincerely yours, [signature] (Mrs.) Anita Yound Boswell

If Reverend hasn't corrected the date of the Banquet..it is Friday, February 21, 1969.
