Dear Julian:

I know that you are a nominee of the Democratic Party of Georgia in the upcoming election. As a former titular head of the Democratic Party of Georgia, I want to remind you that our party has a record of achievement in this State in which all Georgia Democrats can take pride.

The Democratic Party has always been one of many voices and views. Often some of the views of many of us in the Georgia Democratic Party. But we must not lose sight of the basic purpose of the Georgia Democratic Party, which is to put forward responsible candidates for public office and to maintain a party structure that will give direction to our joint efforts to provide our State with sound leadership and positive, effective government.

The only course for The Democratic Party of Georgia to follow at this time is to move ahead responsibly and courageously. My time and my energies will be devoted to helping you and every other Democratic candidate in this State win election in November. Please let me know what I might do in your behalf.
