Dear Mr. Bond:
The Ohio affiliate of the New Democratic Coalition would like to extend an invitation to you to speak in Cleveland to a fund raising banquet for our organization. Our group in Ohio, as elsewhere, is composed of supporters of Senator Eugene McCarthy and the late Senator Robert Kennedy. We are developing a new political movement in Ohio in which the social issues that unite us will be put into a political framework. One of our major efforts in Ohio will be to assist in the election of U. S. Senate candidate John J. Gilligan.
In order that we may plan for our fund raiser, I would appreciate it if you could let me know as soon as possible whether you would be available. We would like to hold this in mid-October but are leaving the date open, hoping that it will fit your plans. If you wish to discuss this with me further, please call me collect at 216/561-3596.
