First, let me thank you for the card and the clipping and the letter.

Secondly, let me say that I quite often share your cynicism - or hopelessness - about what any of us individually can do about the many wrongs that besiege us.

Finally, let me say that as trite as it may seem, I believe that we just must "keep on keeping on" and hope that others will join us.
