Dear Miss Fryer,

I am writing concerning the recent cancellation of a speaking date on your campus. The date was cancelled because of an auto accident. I was taking Darvon for pain, and walking with a cane, and couldn't go anywhere.

I regred this very much, but I was in pain and shock and unable to do anything.
