Please accept my apologies for being so slow to respond to your letter. I have been on a speaking tour and have been out of town a great deal.

Thank you for inviting me to speak at MacMurray and participate in Afro-American Weekend. Unfortunately I cannot accept. The Georgia State Legislature is in Session during March and I must be in Atlanta.
