Dear Mr. Schlesinger:

Thank you for your letter concerning the Student Burgesses conference.

I regret very much that I must cancel the date; I am taping a television series that will occupy my weekends from February 1 through mid-March.

I sincerely regret any inconvenience this late cancellation m ay cause you, but I cannot see how I can possibly keep the date and still be in Baltimore for taping that weekend.
