AUGUST 25

1931. I cooked dinner today. Mrs. Johnson two of her grand-daughter's and Lorene came this afternoon.

1932. Mother and I quilted some today. Mrs. Mann and Ernest came a while this afternoon.

1933. Sis, Nora Lee & I went to town this morning and I went see Dr. Salman & he said my tonsils should be removed, he sent me to Dr. Finley and Dr. Finley said my heart was too fast & blood pressure was too low for a person of my age. I took dinner with Mrs. Mann today. Dad came to Mrs. Mann's after me & I came hime with him this afternoon.

1934. I churned, did some pressing and cleaned up the house. I got a letter from Mother. I feel a lot better today.

1935. Rex & I spent the day with Mother & Dad. Rex went to see Uncle Brock this morning. Mother & I went to see Uncle Brock this afternoon. Rex & I came home this afternoon.

AUGUST 26

1931. We canned 3 gallon's of damson's today and pealed some pears. It rained this afternoon.

1932. I embroidered some today. I got a letter from Rex today. It rained most all the morning.

1933. I feel a littel better today. Mother & I played Rum tonight.

1934. Sis & I went to church at Elm Grove this morning. I went to Jim's this afternoon & Sis, John Marion & Mr. Slaton went to Hanson. Mr. Slaton aimed to stay a few days at Uncle Joe's but they wasn't at home. Sis brought him back to Madisonville & he will stay all night with Jess.

1935. Kate washed for us today. I canned 1 gallon of apples and got dinner this morning. I ironed some this afternoon.
