Morgan County Ille December the 9 1832

Dear ladies in answer to your kind letter which we received the 6 of december which was dated the 29 of Sept I say to you at this time that we are enjoying good helth and most earnestly hopeing that you are enjoying or Shear ing [sharing] the bounties of the same blessings; it has been quite helthy with us this season the gloomy prospect that was hovering over our country a bout the time I rote to you the heavy Cloud of desolation which had binn spreading its wings around us, has dissolve and a clear sky is presenting itsselfe to our views we antisipate the day that farmers represen tations [representations] of the country will become a theme of representations a gain, the corn turned out to be better then was expected and wheat also, you want me to give you some information about Mr Linns I received a letter last spring from Mary she rote to me that they were tolerable well pleased with the Country and had enjoyed good helth and Luther came to Jacksonville in the Spring and stood there for some time and worked at his trade and then he went home to stay a short time an was to come back again but has not returned he did not come to our house.

you write to me about your good meeting I was glad to hear from them I have binn to too campmeetings this fall once was of the reformed methodist it was a great meeting, there was a beteen thirty and forty souls professed religion and the other was a [comberlen?] [prebeterian?] there was none profest at it & concferance was held at jacksville this fall they had a tolerable good time but I dont now how many profests gane Barton profest religion she is very much attend to what She was she is living in Jacksonville ant betsy is living at william Stevenson She has got que lively a gain and is verry industral & the last account we had from uncle presley he was living at uncle Coopers & Mother and family is some better satisfied then they was I must bring my letter to aclos the famly all joint with me in giving you both our best love and respects may god bless you both in time and in Eternity Js the saveear [savior] wish of your friends Jane sends her best love to you both

I must add a few more words we have had the beautifulest fall an the pleasents wether than I most ever saw it has benn warm and mostly dry we have not had any cold wether yet, you must not forget to rite to us again
