Status: Needs Review

"Painful"
We are very much
pained to learn that not with-
standing the undivided atten-
tion which our fellow student
Mr. H. of Mengle, alias "Berks"
has for some time bestowed
upon the Misses Lytle in gen-
eral and Jane in particular
he has been wholly unsuccess-
ful and on Sunday afternoon
after having "Done" the hand-
some in helping them over the
fences, he was ungraciously
repulsed by them somehwere in
the vicinity of Billy Foster's
barn and was forced to return
home almost broken-hearted.
He has been very downcast
since but it is hoped that he
will recover. We have learned
that for several days his grief
and sorrow was so intense that
he ate but two meals per day
,a like occurrence of which was
never known to have happened
before in his life.
Public Nuisances.
Whately's Rhetoric, Clarke's
Grammer, the throwing water,
Smith and his subscription
paper for the Arboretum, the
old Dining Hall, the Ball
Alley, picking stones, our
neighbors cows, the Democratic
voters including Billy Bullock
and our Huntingdon county Rep-
resentative Pussey.
