Well par'd and well chop'd at least half a dozen,
Six ounces of bread let Moll eat the crust
The crumb must be grated as small as the dust.
Six ounces of currants from the stones you must sort
Least you break all your teeth and spoil all the sport
Six ounces of sugar wont make it too sweet,
Some salt and some nutmeg the whole will complete
Three hours let it boil without any flutter
Nor is it quite finish'd without melted butter.

A good batter pudding

Four eggs, three spoonfuls of flour, a pint
of milk and boil an hour.

Gingerbread Snips
[in pencil] Right
1 pound flour 1/2 lb of butter 1 oz of ginger 1 lb
treacle 1/2 lb of moist sugar The Treacle must be
boiled and stand to cool.
