Yum Yum Cake- Mother.

1 c sugar
1 c water
1/3 c beef drippings
2 cs raisins or 1 lb
Boil 5 min

Cool and mix with
1/2 t cloves
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t baking powder
2 cs flour
1/4 t grated nutmeg
1/2 t salt
1 t soda dissolved in hot water
Bake 45 min - 350 degrees

Cocoa Cake (Mrs Abbott)

1 1/2 cs sugar
2 tb butter
2 tb lard
3 tb cocoa
1/2 t salt
About 2 cs flour
2 t baking powder
1 t vanilla
1 c or more of
coffee
2 eggs
Beat whites separately and fold in
cake after all ingredients have been
added.

Mocha Filling

Conf sugar
3 tb cocoa
butter size of egg
1 or more ts of vanilla
