May be split, spread with butter, then toast without turning, in broiler oven.
Filet of Sole Thermidor
1½ lbs filet | 2 Tb. flour |
1 C. milk | 2 Tb. sherry |
¾ t. salt | ¼ C. grated processed American cheese |
pepper | 2 Tb. butter |

Chocolate Crumb Pudding
¼ C. butter | 2 eggs, beaten |
¾ C brown sugar, firmly packed | 2 C. soft bread cubes or crumbs |
2 C. scalded milk | 1 t. vanilla |
2 C. cold milk | ½ 7 oz pkge semisweet choc. |

Beat eggs and beat in sugar. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix [milk?] butter and flavoring and add to first Bake in 8" square pan 30 min in 350° oven Frosting 5 Tb. light brown sugar 3 Tb. melted butter 2 Tb. cream ½ C. coconut Mix while cake is baking and spread over it quickly when it comes from the oven. Put under broiler and brown lightly.
Cream Cheese Cookies
1½ C. flour | 1 3oz pkg cream cheese |
½ t. salt | 3 Tb. corn syrup |
½ C. shortening | 3-4 Tbls jam |

sirup [corn syrup] with creamed mixture, add flour, mix thoroly. Chill well, roll out ⅛" thick on lightly floured board. Cut into shapes, top with a bit of jam. Place on ungreased baking [sheet?] bake in mod. oven 350° 10-12 min. 3 doz. 2" cookies

½ C. peanut butter | 1¼ C. sifted flour |
