52. SEED CATALOGUE AND GARDEN GUIDE.

Flower Plant Novelties
The novelty pages in a catalogue are always of interest to flower lovers and this year we offer many valuable novelties in flower plants which have been collected from various parts of the world, aud [and] thoroughly tested in our own greenhouses and on our trial grounds. Descriptions were carefully made from nature and we are sure all will please our customers. In our general list, on pages 69 to 90 will also be found many valuable novelties in this line. Plant orders should amount to at least 25 cents. You may select plants amounting to $1.20 for $1.00, $2.50 for $2.00, $7.00 for $5.00 postpaid.

NOVELTY COLLECTION Notice the collection of flower plants shown on page 75. Five very desirable sorts for 50 cents.

NEW DOUBLE FLOWERING BEGONIAS.
We put these first on our list this year as we are sure that all plant lovers will want to try them. They are a new departure and one deserving the greatest praise for their strong, vigorous growth, attractive foliage, handsome shaped double flowers, brilliant colors, and above all their wonderfully free flowering propensities. In fact the superintendent of our greenhouse says it is rather difficult to propagate a sufficient number of plants as every branch is loaded with bloom, and the little cuttings produce flowers while still in the sand, almost before striking root. Of the easiest culture and desirable for either pots or bedding. There are four distinct colors as follows:
Boule de Neige.--With large, full, pure white flowers with light yellow stamens. Each 15c.
Triumph de Lorraine.--Scarlet; a profuse bloomer; the finest of the four; color of bud and flower a rich, bright scarlet. Each 15c.
Gloria de Montet.--Rose; perfectly double; bright rosy-carmine. Each 15c.
Nancy.--Pink; a clear pink center with a deep pink edge. Each 15c.
The Set of Four Double Flowering Begonias for only 50 cents.

DOUBLE NASTURTIUM.
Did you ever see one? Very few people have, but we have a fine lot of them this year and are offering them at a low price. It is a most charming novelty which is really difficult to describe. The flowers are large and fully double, which gives them a very different appearance from any others. They have a rich, spicy fragrance. Some flowers are of a bright yellow, and some of a rich, dark orange crimson with shading of deep mahogany red. It is not a "freak" with a few small insignificiant [insignificant] flowers, but a really good double flower, 2 to 2¼ inches across, which will instantly attract the attention of everyone who sees them. Plant is a strong, vigorous grower of climbing habit and fine for trellises, window boxes, vases, etc. It is a constant bloomer. Never produces seed. Each 15c. Four for 50c.

PASSION FLOWER.
One of the most desirable of all climbing plants. Will climb 10 to 12 feet high in a season and covered with pretty leafage and handsome flowers. Ea. 15c.

GERBERA JAMESONI.
Transvaal or Barberton Daisy.
No flowering plant introduced in many years has created such a sensation as this beautiful scarlet daisy. The plant is a native of the Transvaal, and, although introduced into Europe fifteen years ago, its propagation was so little understood that until two years ago it was difficult to obtain even a single plant at any price. Its grace and beauty will continue to win the admiration of all true lovers of plants. Of easy culture and free flowering. Each 25c.

GIANT FLOWERING CALADIUM.
In general appearance this plant somewhat resembles the common Caladiun (C. Esculentum), but is entirely distinct, being much larger and grander. Leaves having a heavy, leathery texture, and a bright, glossy-green color, with metalic [metallic] luster which is remarkably handsome. It does not produce a bulb, but is increased by suckers, and is perennial. Leaves 3 to 5 feet long, by 2 or 2½ feet broad; perfectly immense, and make a plant which for tropical luxuriance has no equal. The flower resembles a giant calla and remains open three days and nights; the first two days it is of the purest snow white, the third day it changes to a pale yellow. Each 25c.

Sunrise Rose Collection.
There is no flower so popular as the rose and the demand increases each year. Last year we color-plated this grand collection of the world's finest novelties and the demand was so great and they were so satisfactory that we are tempted to repeat the offer. The entire collection of six choice plants worth $1.10 for 65c.
SUNRISE.--This grand new rose has taken first honors in the cut flower shows. When in bud form it is a deep coppery pink color, but as the blossom opens the inner side of petals shade from clear yellow to deep copper color thus making a pleasing color effect. The flower has the true Bon Silene fragrance and is desirable both in bud and when in full bloom. Each 20c.
BESSIE BROWN.--This is called by rose specialists the finest new variety which has been brought out for many years past. It is a hybrid tea variety which originated in England. Blooms are very large in size, full double and of perfect shape; color, creamy white flushed and tinged with pink, especially at the edges of the petals which are shell-shaped. Blooms freely. Each 20c.
HELEN GOULD.--Has proved itself to be the strongest growing, freest blooming and largest flowering hardy rose in existence. It is better for general planting than the American Beauty. The buds are beautifully shaped, long and pointed; the flowers are full and perfectly double; color rich, rosy crimson, particularly bright and glowing; also a good winter bloomer. Each 15c.
FRANCES E. WILLARD.--Undoubtedly the best pure white ever-blooming rose ever introduced. Buds and flowers are of large size, perfect form, pure snow white color. It is delightfully fargrant [fragrant] and blooms freely. Plant is a strong vigorous grower. Each 15c.
ROGER LAMBERLIN.--The most exquisitely beautiful and rich colored rose ever sent out and in fact it is so very much different from all other varieties that very few persons suspect that it is a rose. The petals are curiously fringed. Color rich, dark, glowing crimson, beautifully margined with white. Each 20c.
TULIP ROSE.--(Madam de Watteville)--Has created a great sensation in Europe. The flower when half open is the shape of a tulip, and also of a rich variegated color. It is a remarkable shade of cream yellow suffused with rosy blush. Petals are large and each is broadly bordered with bright crimson; feathery shaded. Each 20c.
COLLECTION.--The above six Roses for 65c.

A NICE BED OF CANNAS WILL GIVE UNEQUALED SATISFACTION.
