Concord July 7 '84

My dear Miss Anna I received your letter yesterday was truly glad to hear from you.

But sorry to hear of your brothers death. We too have been sadly bereaved Mollie died the [in? 1st?] of may leaving a little babe only two weeks old

It is so hard to Realize that she has gone from us forever. Truly it is hard but the Lords ways are not our ways.

Sweet little Mary is a bright little creature I fear we will not be able to raise her
