SUMMARY OF MILITARY OCCUPATIONS: OPERATIONS AND TRAINING STAFF OFFICER
Following a period of duty in the United States, including service during the activation and combat training of the 71st Antiaircraft Artillery Group and two years duty in the anti-aircraft defense of the Nation's Capitol, went overseas in August 1944, as Group Operations Officer of this group. Supervised the tactical employment of the Battalions in the group and planned and executed the details for the defense of combat areas. During 17 months service in Europe participated in Three Major Campaigns: Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe.
